Chess Club
The Providence Chess Club is now in its 9th year. Mr. Brian Ziebarth and Mr. Bob Wilhelm lead the club with help from other parents. Practices are held each Monday after school. The students learn the strategic game of chess while also learning how to win and lose gracefully. Throughout the year the club will participate in several Gateway Chess League sponsored tournaments where team and individual medals and trophies are awarded to the winners.
