Missouri State Senate to Vote on Bill written by Providence Students

Last year the 8th grade class researched, debated and wrote a bill to allow high school students to participate in sports, regardless of their choice of school.  They presented their final version to Senator Jim Lembke during a day trip to Jefferson City.  He then sponsored a bill based on their work.  The Students First Interscholastic Athletics Act has been read twice on the floor and referred to the Education committee.

Spell to Write and Read Training with Wanda Sanseri at Providence

Wanda Sanseri, the Author of Spell to Write and Read, is coming to Providence!  Wanda's language arts curriculum, SWR, is used in hundreds of schools, including Providence.  We are privileged to have Mrs. Sanseri visit Providence this spring to conduct a seminar on SWR.

Parent-Teacher Conferences - Tuesday, March 9th 3:30-9:00pm

Sign up sheets are outside each teacher's room or outside the office.

P.O.P.S. Prayer Time - Wednesdays - March 10, 17, 31 at 8:30am

Come join us in fellowship and corporate prayer lifting up the needs of our school.  You'll be glad you did!  Children are welcome - we meet in the Toddler Room.

Providence Board Meeting - Thursday, March 11th 6:15pm

The Meeting is open to the community.  It is held in Homer.

Green or Orange Clothing Day - Wednesday, March 17th

Students may also wear their regular uniforms on this day.

Spring Expo - Monday, March 15th 7:00pm

Come see our students demonstrate some of their learning at this presentation in the auditorium.  The program will feature, "invectives" written against prominent villans of history and literature.

No School for Grammar School (K-6) - Friday, March 19th

Spring Break (No School) - March 22nd-March 26th

Enrollment Fee Deadline - Thursday, April 1st

After April 1st, the enrollment fee increases from $150 to $250 per student.

P.O.P.S.  Skate Party - Thursday, April 1st from 4:30pm to 6:30pm

This private event will be held at Rollercade.  Cost of $5.75 includes basic skate rental.

P.O.P.S Fundraiser - Quizno's and Pasta Plus - Thursday, April 1st from 3:00pm to Closing

If you mention the flyer and eat at one of these restaurants, Providence will receive a portion of the proceeds.  Eat before or after skating!
