Mrs. Chris Bujnak

Kindergarten

Mrs. Christine Bujnak joined the Providence family in the 2022-2023 school year to serve as the Kindergarten teacher.  Mrs. Bujnak has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and taught 4th – 6th grade in a private Christian school before taking an “early retirement” to raise and homeschool her children. She is blessed to have traveled this journey with Tom, her wonderful husband of 27 years, and be the proud parent of four boys and two girls. She recently returned to teaching in 2020 to serve in the resource room at Lutheran South High School for two years before accepting the Kindergarten position at Providence in the fall of 2022.  In her free time, you will find her out in nature, learning to be mom to her new chocolate labrador, drinking tea, reading books, baking or making dates to favorite places in the city with family and friends.

For as long as I can remember, my life’s main purpose has been to create ”home” in my life and those I have been blessed to travel beside.  As I was reading the Providence Vision Statement during the application process, I stumbled across this idea that deeply defines my own personal vision, the one I believe that God personally handcrafted for me:   “The Providence community becomes a firmly-laid foundation stone in our students’ childhood “homesteads”–a sweet part of their dolce domum, their sweet home.”  I am thrilled to be given the privilege to partner with the parents of my kindergartners to shape and strengthen their identity in Christ through truth, beauty and goodness in this home of childhood!
